the BIG Shave!!!

"I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do." We may have lost the key member of our team in battle, but that doesn't mean the war is over.

February 18th, 2010 - Suri's First Birthday, and the start of a legacy.
A building of friendships, alliances, and support for a future without pediatric brain cancer.

The first birthday marks one of the most important days in a child's life, and although little princess pie was not here to celebrate with us, she sure made a mark. February 18th will now forever be a day of hope. A day when people come together to remember a remarkable little girl. A little girl who has inspired us all to live our lives to the fullest and to show strength in all we do.

On behalf of the Boon family, thanks to everyone for all of your generous donations for Suri's Smile head shave event. Suri's Smile raised $17,000 for Brain Child, exceeding our $15,000 goal.

Lisa and Jarrod are now sporting their new do's for all to see. Thanks to the hairdressers who kept those in the audience laughing. They were great. Thanks to the members of the media who joined us for this event. You're coverage will bring added awareness to the worthy cause.

This was the first of many Suri's Smile events. Keep posted for information regarding a dinner gala February 18th, 2011, were we have a goal to raise $50,000. With the funds raised, equipment will be purchased for Sick Kids Hospital. If our goal is reached, Suri will forever have her name in gold, with a plaque on the tribute wall in the atrium of Sick Kids Hospital.
